Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has criticized President William Ruto’s over Wednesday's recent Cabinet reshuffle, cautioning that frequent changes could disrupt governance in the country.

In a statement shared on his X account on Thursday, March 27, 2025, Amisi voiced concerns over the continuous reassignments within the Cabinet, arguing that rapid reshuffles without prioritizing efficiency and competence create instability among state officers.

The lawmaker warned that this uncertainty might push officials to focus on personal interests rather than service delivery, fearing their tenure is unpredictable.

Amisi likened this approach to the leadership style of former Zairean ruler Mobutu Sese Seko, who reshuffled his Cabinet 60 times during his reign.

"Constant reshuffling and reassignments at a breakneck pace, with little regard for efficiency and competence, breed insecurity among state officers. It sends the message that one should grab what they can, as the future remains uncertain. Mobutu of Zaire reshuffled his Cabinet 60 times during his rule," Amisi stated.

He urged Ruto to reconsider his strategy, warning that such a pattern could have significant implications for Kenya’s governance.

President William Ruto unveiled a Cabinet reshuffle on March 26, 2025, aimed at boosting his administration’s efficiency and fast-tracking Kenya’s socioeconomic progress.
